Since Becky was asking about my plants I decided to take a couple of pictures of my garden. It's too big (54 ft x 34 ft) to get in one picture, so I took several and you can put them together to get the overall view. Ignore the weeds... I'm working on them today. lol

I love your Water feature and wrought Iron fence with vines climbing it......beautiful!, that gives me some ideas
TJB
terrieurban, thanks for the nice tour through your bf garden! You've got a great space and a nice range of plants, you must have happy butterflies!
Thanks, everyone.
I've had more butterflies this year than ever before. And some new ones -- Queens, Polydamus STs.
TJB - the main reason for the fence was to keep my two dogs and five granddogs from breaking all my plants and leaving their "manure" where I didn't want it. lol
Luckily, my garden is beside the house so I could just fence straight across. I got the fence panels at Lowe's.

Very beautiful!!!
WOW!!! I've been in and out of town so much this year and still have to go on the road a few more times. Do wish I could fix up my yard...it is truly overgrown with vines and shrubs that are out of control...but alas, I just can't make myself cut anything back just yet. Am going to wait until late January unless we get a freeze before then.

Very nice Terri. Have you been working on it long? I guess the real question I'm asking is did you come up with the ideas all at once and worked to establish the garden or was it a small start that has grown over the years as you saw plants you wanted?
Gary
Very nice. Loved the garden tour!!! And...is that a real ducky drinking from the little pond? How cute is that?
Gary - It's been ongoing for about 3-4 years. That whole area had St. Augustine grass that I removed by hand. So, it started close to the fence, then I slowly worked my way towards the center and towards the rest of the backyard. I didn't really have a plan, just wanted to attract and raise some butterflies. lol I just kinda stick things in the ground. If they don't like it there, I move them. Then a friend gave me her waterfall. I also bring home plants from our garden club, so it's just grown by bits. I work full time, so it took me a lot longer to "grow my garden".
PiggyPoo - no, that's an egret made from PVC pipe that I buy at a local plant fest. I have two of them in my yard. They don't make as big of a mess as a real one. However, I have had real ducks land and swim around in my pool. lol
