Does anyone know this plant? I just got one from a seller on ebay...
Clerodendrum Phillipinum
We grow or have grown 8 different ones but that ain't one of them.
We grew the Pink Cashmere Bouquet but will have to ck to see if we still do.
D-mail me, you know, Old-heimers! lol
:~)
I have some...but had no idea there were other kinds...Whatever type I have, bloom those nice boquets...but ..they surprised me with their size..they are absolutely HUGE. Right now they are about as tall as the lamp post in the back(9 foot and higher).I have them growing up into the pear tree, otherwise they'd probably fall over. Their leaves are so wide, I have to snip them off so they don't shade things below them. I would have planted them somewhere else had I known they were so big. The only thing that rivals them in invasivenes is it's sister the clerodendrum Bungei. I still like it though.

I keep mine in a pot on the back porch. The runners will come right out the bottom of the pot and send up plants everywhere. so if you don't want more keep the pot on concrete.
I wouldn't put it in the ground but I love it in a pot!
Here is a plantfiles link

Do they stay fairly small in the pot? I've taken some of the new sprouts and potted them up for the swap.
They will grow as big as the pot will allow. If the pot is too small it will pout for more space. I have one in a 1gal pot and it hates me for it lol! My large one is working on its 3rd year in a 10 gal pot and it doesn't seem to want more space yet.

Well they certainly surprised me..although I'm not sure why. I noticed my clero sahelangii (turks cap) are as tall as the eve of the roof today.
Yep, I saw one of those in Florida that ate a women's front yard! I wish I had a pic!!
LOL>...!!
