perennial seeds- help

(Zone 5a)

hi friends,im new at this i've only really ever grown wildflowers which reseed themself,my question is does it matter what time of year you start reg. prennial seeds? can i start them now? thanks to all of you .

I start seeds whenever I feel like sowing but then our summer temperatures are rarely very high. I find perennials do best sown in late summer/early autumn when the temperatures are between 65-75 F. By the time it comes to planting out in the spring I have well grown plants.

Seedlady there are alot of perennials that will re-seed themselves just like wildflowers. Was there something specific you wanted to plant?

Seedlady... What zone are you in? I did a search and found some threads for you check out about fall planting & winter sowing.

This is the time of year that plants naturally re-seed... so I think you'd be Ok to plant them now.
