I have a hardy begonia someone gave me...Begonia grandis...I think it is anyway. It grows all over under this ladies back porch and side yard here in zone 7.
The one she gave me rotted below the soil line when I planted it. So I brought it in and put in some water. Will it root or is there a better way of rooting it?

I am not sure if this method would work with hardy begonia but perhaps you can try cutting a branch and sticking it in rooting hormone ,then directly into a pot? I haven't done this and am not sure whether it would root faster than the water method.
