smells like cake
Ahhh good for you - you found out scent thread!!! ^_^
I love those dainty white flowers!! I am off tolook that one up to see if it will grow here!!
I don't know about the summer heat, but I'm a little farther inland than Annie is (which means hotter!) and I've grown it successfully in a west-facing sunny garden bed and it never seemed to struggle with my heat at all. For the winters, it's technically supposed to be an annual, but when I grew it at my old house it did come back for a 2nd year, but then didn't come back for the 3rd year, so I guess that makes it a really short lived perennial. My old house was a few miles north of here and was in 9b, I haven't tried to grow it yet in 9a so I don't know if it would come back a second year here or not.
Should have added that Annie's Annuals carries it and I believe they're in stock now (at least they were last week).
Maybe seeds would be the better way to try this one. I love Annie's but shiping is pretty high and if I am going to order I want the plant to be around for awhile!!
i'll try and harvest some,marie!
