Dickey's BBQ on I45 has a great picnic and pet pitstop area

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Just wanted to let anyone traveling on highway 45 between Dallas and Houston, that there is a fantastic pet pitstop at Dickey's BBQ, exit 178

We recently traveled with four teacup yorkies, and this was an impressive little set-up. Eating arrangements can be difficult when travelling with your pets. Especially in the summer, when it is too hot to leave them in the car, and they are not allowed indoors.

It has a fenced in, covered picnic table, with two live oak shade trees on either side. This way, you can eat outside with your pets, (since health code won't allow them inside the restaurant.)

It is all fenced in, so they can run around, stretch their legs, and relieve themselves, while you eat.

If you travel with your pets, and you travel on this highway, I highly recommend you take your pitstop, on exit 178
