too late to plant caladium bulbs?

North Richland Hills, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm wondering if it's too late to purchase and plant some caladium bulbs from Caladium Bulbs 4 Less? I live in North Texas and temps are 90-100 degrees during the day. These bulbs would be mostly going in a shaded bed.

jenepat, Thats a definite yes. I planted some of them four days ago and they are coming up. It would be best to soak them for 10-15 min. before planting them.Good luck and enjoy! Jerry

I wrote you a short "bulb" thesis over on your bulbs thread.

Jerry - that's great to hear! When soaking, is it just plain tap water you soak in? Also, did you fertilize them at all? Sounds like yours are coming up really fast - how exciting!

Debbie - I got your other "short" post (yeah, right!) :) Thanks again for all the detail!
