Sucker?

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

I tried to post this before I left for work this morning, but it was still "thinking" when I left, so I'm doing it now that I'm AT work . . .

I was repotting my Rob's Chilly Willy this morning (yeah, I know - finally!). I had rinsed off the roots, and was just putting soil in the new pot when I saw this! It's a sucker, right? What is the best way to cut it out? Should I cut off a few of the leaves around it too?

Sorry I couldn't post the picture directly . . . I tried . . . and my pc will probably still be thinking about it when I get home . . .

try & get the entire sucker in one piece, you don't have to get any other leaves, & if a few leaves break off that still ok.then pot it up

A pencil tip works well if you are careful.Lynn

That is one of the reasons I don't like miniatures........they sucker so badly! Also, you have to be careful if you order african violets. If the plants have not been groomed and the suckers are going wild, I end up having to remove everything but 4 leaves and the crown...............just start over with the plant.
