I Have Good supply of japanese Shiso (green) seeds.

Saint James, NY(Zone 7a)

If you would like seeds for the hard-to-find leaves used by Sushi chefs as edible and important garnishes, (and which seem to be found in only the FINEST sushi restaurants lately), I have plenty of easy-to-grow seeds available. Similar in habit to basil, you may grow your own from which you may harvest leaves all summer, and collect multitudes of seeds for next year, or, just let them self-sow, which they do profusely up here on Long Island, NY.

Hello again...no need to answer about taste Just found the following on the internet.
" You will have to try it for yourself to decide what it tastes like as everyone seems to come up with a different description. Some say it tastes like curry while others describe the flavor as a combination of cumin, parsley and cilantro with just a hint of cinnamon. My opinion is that it is similar to cinnamon basil. "

I'm interested...am sending you a d mail

Karlmale, Does this look like a Shiso? My aunt gave them to me a few years ago. I just like the color and textures of the leaves and she had tons of them growing in a container at her home. She uses it in many of the asian dishes including noodles. Anyway, the died back in the container in the winter time and I threw the dirt in the ground and now they are coming up!
