Thank you all. The day is off to a great start. I slept in. Things should be pretty calm and quiet back here in the woods at Maypop. Back to Atlanta tomorrow for a few days of pahtying and cultcha (that's my classy New England accent).

Thom, where are the hosta/DL photos? They should be in their glory up your way now, yes? I only have ditch lilies and a NOID lily. If I try to photo the NOID, I'll be covered in chiggers. Don't ask what those are...you don't want to know.

Thanks,yes that is the back garden. I was trying to guide the clem that lives on the lattice arbor to go up and over and looked through one of the diamonds and thought it would make a nice pic. Stuff is really starting to pop here now, buds everywhere just ready to open.

Thanks so much Clem. Things are laying low with DH cheffing garden veggies and me calling signals. The party starts tomorrow and will end on the 5th. lol. have a great 4th.

Oh Cyndie...I have girlie Long Pies! So excited. I need to start formulating the Thanksgiving menu. The N.E. is invited. Thanksgiving is a famous event here and we usually have tons of family and friends in for that. Can I count my pumpkins before they hatch? lol I make a mean pumpkin flan along with the pies. A tribute to my Miami/Cubano heritage. And, while we're at it, 26 if you please.

I'll take 24 if I we get to choose, 26 is the year after I was diagnosed with MS but at 24 the world at least felt like my oyster. Aerobics, no kids, no husband, grad school, anything was still possible. I might still have been president, or conductor of the B.S.O. or something grand and ridiculous. I may just show up for Thanksgiving - I'll get back to you. Sorry I was late to your party! Happy belated birthday!

Laurel, I am a little late, but happy to know you are dreaming of pumpkins, youth, and Cuban food on our B-Day. Hope the pumpkins grow, you find the "Fountain" and you have a nice serving of Picadillo or a rack of Costillitas on your dinner plate soon. Patti
