Lotus bud

I was checking out the leaves on one of my Lotus plants that I got from TexasWaterLilies a couple years ago

And what do I see???

Does it take that long for it to bloom? I bought some plants from them (co-op sale) but haven't recvd. them yet. I can't wait!

Well, I bought them last year, I think and one of the lotuses did bloom the same year. This is the first year for this one.

How exciting, please do make sure to post pictures (notice I said pictureS) of when it blooms.

I too have purchased some plants from them and can't wait to get them.

This will be my first year for a pond.

Any day now!!! The bloom is over five feet tall and is huge!!!!!

so what size pond/lake or river do ya have it in???? and what ya feeding it..???? LOL

I dont have my lotus in my pond. They are in big pots.I dont feed em either. Just lots of sun.

And she blooms............

bud stage in my large earthen pond

full bloom out ....blooms only last for 3 to 4 days, this is day 2 on this one.
I can't get to them to feed them , they live off pond nutrients

oooooooooh, aaaahhhhhhhhh! So pretty!
