My nieghbor & best friend bought a pond online & got everything to put in it including 2 expensive waterlilies (unsure of type & they are attached in some big pots specially desinged for water plants) for $120 & when the pond arrived it was alot smaller then expected & won't hold the lilies & we need a way to keep them going for at least 2 more weeks till she gets larger pond installed as the way they are packaged now they are starting to look a little unhappy. And any links to where she can get a larger (she wants it to be at least 3' deep & as long as possible) pond that takes minimial step up time & work. Thanks for the read & any ideas you have will be welcomed. Happy Gardening from N Texas.

Need help w/ nieghbor's expensive waterlilies
If you have a farm store or hardware store nearby there are various feed tubs available that would be big enough to hold them over. You might also try Wal-Mart or a nursery to find a big pot. If the pot has a hole in the bottom just line it with a liner of some kind so it will not leak. In a pinch you could line with several heavy duty trashbags since it will be temporary.
tetleytuna's tip is a good one. There are several sizes of Rubbermaid stock tanks that will work. Plus they can serve as a quaratine tank for new or sick fish - A good investment if you are getting into ponding.
