The 'Miami Rose' I got from Hetty bloomed 2 summers ago...the one and only blooms I'd been blessed with. Based on ya'lls suggestions I started a little early "waking" my babies up and feeding them earlier then in past. It paid off...thank you all so much. I have inflos on a few....this NOID was the first to bloom...what a delight to come home to tonight!!!
Ahhhh finally....
Very nice there all worth waiting for.!
expect a 3 year bloom cycle Chantell
Thats why I have soooo many lol!!
I get many blooms every year but they have a 3 year cycle for sho and each of the 3 years I get different surprises.
Congrats and she looks just like my Miami rose, the inflo will explode and give you tons of blooms all at once.
Ours wont turn red till august summer heat and humidity set in.
Awesome!! good for you!! Smells like heaven too lol!!
(((Michael))))!!!! How you be my Phila Phriend? Well that 3 year things good to know...cuz I'd about given up the whole plumie thing (yes, shoot me now). That's not a great pic...I'll try to post another today that's a better shot. If she IS a Miami Rose then I have 2....grrrr...which means someone will be blessed with a plumie. Sadly I don't have room for duplicates. I though the MR's were a deeper shade but maybe it's what you were describing - she may have bloomed later in the season. Hugs, my friend!!
No Hetty (you're so sweet)...this one's not the one from you. The one from you has gotten SO big...I have her out front. This one was a NOID gift from a friend who didn't want to grow plumies any longer - so I took the 4 NOID's she had. Guess I should go take a sniff or two of this ones blooms that would help eh? LOL
Whatever it is, the color is lovely.
Thank you Kaper...here a "little" better pic today...I need to get a bloom when they're fresh...but at least this pics coloring is true
Hetty if I had to guess scent (now I know why everyone struggles with describing scents) - if there's a way to combine a light rose scent with an undertone of citrus that's what this smells like. Any thoughts to ID?

Looks like you will have plenty of flowers soon...congratulations.
Davie
I know, Davie....it's so exciting...kinda makes ya wanna send out birth announcements...LOL
I love to photograph plants after a refreshing summer shower...the colors are just so nice. This is the same Plumie as above...just a tad better pic....now that some more have opened on it. The scent reminds me of a soft rose with a hint of citrus. Any ideas of who she might be? I'm fine with NOID pink...but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Chantell, you know I am only good with the horrible scents. Mothballs and toilet mints, now those I can relate to. :P
-Joe
Joe - you are too funny!! Yes - you come to mind whenever something reminds me of cheap gas station air fresheners...LOL
It's nice to know I am thought of, I think. :/
:)

Beautiful flowers, Chantell!
Clare - thank you!! Do they look like any named ones to you?
Joe - hugs! Meant in gardeners humor/love, my friend...honestly.
Hi Chantell, I'm sure it is not a named one that is registered with the PSA, but it is beautiful nonetheless.
Thank you....she smells purty too!!
I know it is Chantell :)))
