Dwarf Daisy

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

My dear friend Kukiat has so many great dwarves. They are not available for purchase yet because many of them are still in the testing phase, which can take several years. Some have amazing regular-sized flowers, and this one, 'Dwarf Daisy,' has a huge inflo! Check it out: http://www.kukiatsgardens.com/Picturesotheweek.html It's gorgeous!

Mulberry, FL

Awesome!

Very pretty although I have to say I am not enamored of the name. For one thing it could never be registered as such.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Well, darn, because I'm the one who named it! LOL! I thought the flowers looked like little daisies in such a big cluster^_^

Sorry Clare.....
You know, the name is surely apt, but not useful. Anything that has a name of a different flower cannot be registered (like Vera Cruz ROSE etc.).

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I understand. I don't know if Kukiat will want to register this one or not, but I suppose something can be added to the name so that it doesn't end with Daisy. Will have to think on that for a while:-)

Whatever the name (silly old rules), it's beautiful!

Yuma, AZ

Beautiful flowers, nice full inflos How does it smell?

Im in line!!
Dwarfs are my heart throb right now.
Lovely plant for sure.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Thanks, guys. I'm told it smells like 'Singapore White.'

Michael, it is good to see you here once again. I know you are looking for 'Dwarf Orange,' but Kukiat's 'Dwarf Orange Sherbet' is so much nicer than the 'Dwarf Orange' out there, but, of course, it is not for sale yet. Check out Kukiat's web site and go to Plumeria Galleries and then go to the Dwarf folder, and you'll see it: http://www.kukiatsgardens.com/index.html I am very appreciative of dwarves also. Kukiat has some amazing ones that he is testing right now with stunning flowers.

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Yes ive seen this through Lopaka I believe
Awesome pic
Ill take both lol!!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Hi Michael, you have not seen this through Robert because 'Dwarf Orange Sherbet' is Kukiat's seedling, and it is not for sale and has not been distributed for sale;-) Thanks! Me too!

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

I was thinking through a link to Kukiats pics, not for sale, easy now ;)

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Oh, the link to Kukiat's pictures on Flickr, yes. I understand now. Yeah, I just wanted to be clear that Robert isn't selling Kukiat's 'Orange Sherbet' becasue it is Kukiat's seedling. LOL!

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Im well aware of that lol! ;)
Both are terrific sources and I never confuse them
I couldnt do without either lol!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

^_^ I agree! Sorry for the confusion.

No need for apologies
I love your dedication to the purity of information
I told you that before. ;)
Youre a dear friend Clare.

Eugene, OR

I had a different problem, clicked on the link and got a beautiful picture of a Dendrobium (which I know quite well) then notice it was the flower of the week! Duh, different week, found the plummie in the archives. Very nice whatever you call it.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

same here about getting a dendrobium. so I went cruising anyway and discovered pink cassias. I want one, bad! My dwarf Singapore Pink from FL colors is doing so well but no blooms yet.

can one put oneself on a waiting list for a dwarf orange? maybe your new one can be Dwarf Daisy Mae?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Thanks, Michael. I feel the same way about you, buddy^_^ When I was describing to a work colleague about how meticulous I am, I started the sentence, "I am..." and my friend filled in the rest with "anal-retentive." LOL!

Thanks, Sally. I agree. I'm glad you found the previous picture that I was referring to.

Nery,

'Dwarf Daisy Mae' is a great name, but it would forever remind me of 'Daisy Mae,' the pig, that is a beloved member of the forum, not that that would be a bad thing. Pigs are great animals.

Don't worry about getting blooms on your DSP. It just needs a little more growth, and then it will flower for you every year. It is a reliable bloomer for sure.

That pink Cassia is also one of Kukiat's seedlings and the first of its kind. It is so amazing. Kukiat loves Cassias very much.

As for a waiting list for the Dwarf Orange, there is none, and I think it still needs some time to be tested, but when Kukiat lets me know that it is for sale, I will make an announcement to everyone that might be interested.

Raises both hands please!!
