Today I bought a strange but true plant. I got a heavily variegated bush form of Morning Glory from a series called "Good Morning". It has dark pink and white flowers and no long vines or tendrils. I am posting a picture of this because I have never seen or heard of these before. The flower in the picture shows a bit of the white border. The older flower which is hidden under the leaves {all the flowers seem to present this way} had more white border. Which is pretty strange for me. I try to keep up with new varieties. I looked it up and this variety has undergone a name change from Ipomea nil to Pharbitis nil. Apparently it has been around for a while. How have I missed this? It is going in my half basket by the kitchen door where I can look at it every day.
What have you bought that was strange but true?

Weird and wonderful
Oh I love it Martha, I am MG nut anyway. Will have to keep my eyes open next time im in the Nursery. Thank you for sharing!!
Wow! looks like you have a lucky find, gardenmart!
Cool, Martha - plant hunting right near home!
I noticed it because the variegation and leaf shape were so striking. I also got a tray of herb plants for 1.00 a pot on sale. This was a great garden center. too bad it is too far away for me to check on it regularly!!
Martha
I like it too!
That's gorgeous! the flowers on mine seem somewhat smaller and hidden under the leaves. Perhaps when I have it planted out they will stand up more.

Martha,I think your's is bushy, mine is just a climbing type of morning glory! Aren't they beautiful though? Clemen
Okay, Martha, where is this garden center? Hopefully, in my direction! What size does the MG get to?
