This is the first yr in 20 that I don't have any toads or eggs in my ponds. Does anyone else have this problem. I want them here to eat my slugs!! Bev
any toads this year??
Not many frog or toads this year. Last year the ground looked like it was hoppin' and this year very few. We have had weird weather this year though and I am sure it has affected them.
I try to keep the toads out of my ponds. If I didn't, I think the ponds would be thick with tadpoles. I try to keep the toad population low because I have very small dogs that are willing to jump on anything that moves. I'd rather have lizards for bug-munchers. I've had three hatches of eggs this year and the mating season is pretty much over.
