I have these rusty lookin' spots on the leaves of one of my redbuds. Also on my brugs. I have been using the Brug recipe on them at night. I guess I'd better stop that, but I don't know why that would cause rust. I tried rubbing the spots with my finger and nothing came off. Rust is a fungus right? Would milk and water work to get rid of it?

Yes. Milk and water will get rid of rust, but you have to treat it periodically for 21 days or something like that.
