Yoda =^..^=

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

When I first received Yoda, it had a bud and opened right away. I know I posted it someplace on here.

Well, it now has two open and I have never seen so many buds getting ready. I am just drooling over this flower.

The reason I had to have this was as a memorial to my kitty Yoda. He was an all white kitty, but that's OK. ^_^

The first picture has a bug on it, but it shows the whole flower better. LOL

Very pretty Susan! I just got Yoda this year, it's definitely one of my favorites! (I have a lot of favorites though! LOL) Mine's only given me one bloom, and I have to say yours looks a lot more like the pics on the website did!

The first bloom didn't look like the website at all. LOL

These are closer.

I also have Yoda that I got from Martindales. It has had 2 blooms. Also got Cherry Ice, Atlantis, Rosalind, Ruth Wilson, White Kalakua. They have all had at least one bloom. I have not fertilized them? What do you use and how often? Thanks Elaine

Some of the mail order hibiscus places also sell fertilizer so that's usually where I get mine--hibiscus have a little bit of special needs in that they don't like as much phosphorus as other plants do, so most of the ferts you buy at the store won't have the ideal ratio for them. I'm really bad at remembering to fertilize as often as you're supposed to, so this year I'm trying the time-release one that Hidden Valley Hibiscus offers, it lasts 6 months. They've got several other fertilizers as well http://www.hiddenvalleynaturearts.com/acatalog/care.htm

Thank you for the information. I will contact Matt and ask what he recommends. Elaine

Yoda is stunning! Mine finally had two fat blooms, but our nasty heat wave made them fall off :-( So glad to see yours :-)
