Remember the Twiddlebugs?? from Sesame Street?

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

The Twiddlebugs were a family of four high-pitched little bugs who lived in Ernie's flower box: Tina, Thomas, Teddy, and Tessie

I totally think that they are the reason that 40 years after watching them on TV, I want to make little mini gardens with mini pretend creatures

that's cool... put a chuckle patch next to it

Onewish- what is a chuckle patch?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Childhood show called the magic garden... they used to tell bad jokes and the chuckle patch daisies would giggle and move around... here is a goofy clip

That link didn't come up for me all the way, so typed in chuckle patch in the search box. I watched the video with the red "story box" chest in it, and saw the chuckle patch.

How cute!

I never saw that growing up...looks like the 70s? Looking back, weren't the 70's cool? Hubby still just loves listening to all the old 70's music. I like the clothing and makeup of the 60's better, but the attitude of the 70's was wonderful.

Wish kids today could grow up in that environment as opposed to the video game and violence of today. Although, I do admit my brother and I got "hooked" on atari when they fist came out, lol...

I was born in 71... so yes... that show was from the 70's... they were great... but loved the 80's more... sorry

;)

gotta love the big NJ hair

times do change... that's for sure

Even today .. if Dh and I are out somewhere (a store, a restaurant etc) and a phone rings .. we'll look at one another and just smile .. or say that "YIP YIP PHONE LoL !!!!!

Thanks for the smiles Seedpicker :-)

Apparently this is a video of the "yip-yips" first encounter with a phone...

Hubby heard this video in the background, and cracked a smile, too :0)

I had forgotten all about those muppet aliens

My sides are aching from laughing .. but my heart is so happy :-)

My son (at work right now) thinks I just gave him the BEST gift he has ever gotten .. we have been emailing back and forth sending one another our favourites .. his is '12' with the pinball machine (sung by the Pointer Sisters) and mine .. besides the YIP YIPS .. is 'The Lady Bugs Picnic' .. I still hum that lil tune when I'm happy .. but .. to see it this morning after not seeing it for YEARS .. WOW .. does a body good to feel that happy :-)

Off to do some shoppin ...

Lol...I watched a lot of them last night, too...one of my favorites as a kid, was the week of #10...I couldn't wait for the baker to fall down the stairs with 10 chocolate pies...

After watching that video last night, I went to bed singing the 1-10 song in my head, lol...

There was another one, ...orange sings song, and then a marble rolling down a "little roller coaster thingy"... That was another favorite...
