Cutting question

I rooted a cutting by laying it on its side and it has rooted. I need to pot it up now. Do I leave it on it's side or stand it up?

Dorothy, is there more than one plant started? IF there is, and they have good root structure, you could have more than one plant by cutting the original cutting with little plants apart. I've buried the top of the original cutting so it's not so unsitely... but if you have more than one plant you can cut it apart if there's good roots and leave the rest to grow more shoots... At each leaf or branch node, there is opportunity for a new plant.... I hope I've helped and not confused you more...anyone?

Since it was something new I was trying at the time I took the cutting I only took a small one leaf node cutting. I am just confused about where the new growth is going to come from.

Oh, I thought you had a 6-10 inch stick you were working with. I'd wait and see how it does start growing, you may not have to do anything but pot it up. I ususally root them vertically, but I'm trying some horizontally, too. I thought I'd get more new starts that way. I'd wait, Dorothy, I know it's hard to wait, I get so anxious for new growth but see what you got to work with.. roots will start on the cutting, the actual growth will come from the node, I think. Wish someone would jump in here and confirm for us. How exciting! I haven't gotten up enough guts to unbury mine and see what's going on..

I am by no means an expert, but I have started at least 4 Monster Whites and about 7 Versi Peach, laying them on their side.

The monster white I just repotted in a bigger pot on its side and off it went.
The brug is now about 5 feet tall and has bloomed once and starting to bloom again.

I believe what you think is a leaf node will turn into a stalk sooner or later.

I will find a picture and post it for you.

I would leave it on its side when you pot it up.

Here's a pic of my little guy. There are roots on the bottom and there are two coming out of the top as you can see. It is getting more leaves everyday.
