Stunning!

Thanks!

It really loves being outdoors, and always blooms it's little heart out about six weeks after the transition ffrom "in" to "out"! ha.

So does it have a rest in winter as I've heard that is what promotes blooming? I remember a huge plant I had in Maine which sadly got frosted and looked like cooked spinach when I got home one day in January :(

I have an orange and a yellow since I've come back home and hope they'll bloom again next year.

Sue

Sue,
I bring it indoors and it resides in my office/plant room all winter-average temp of 72ºF. It gets light from an east window . I lightly water it every 6 weeks or so.

Some years it blooms indoors for me, in March.

Oh, you have a yellow one, too? You 're fortunate!! I've always longed for one of those-hopefully, someday.

Off subject here, but you're the second Brit I've met recently(here on DG) that lived here in the USA for sometime, then moved back to the UK.
If you're in zone 8a, will you plant your Clivias in the ground at some point?

Deanna I hadn't thought of planting them outside. My garden is pretty small so I think I'll just keep them in their pots inside. My yellow flowered plant was a real bargain!
I'm loving being home - I was born in Northumberland but haven't lived here for 23 years so I still feel like a tourist :)
