SoCal & I visited this nursery
M & M Nursery - Orange, CA
Oh, my goodness!
That fairy dance arouond the maypole is wonderful!
The container it is in, is even more impressive!! It would look so cute with that tiny wire vine going up the "pergola poles". :0)
Also, that elfin thyme spilling over that last picture looks gorgeous. Mine are in bloom right now, but battery went dead on camera, just as I was going to take a picture...

How about this dog house. All pictures were taken at M&M Nursery, Orange, California several years ago. They carry all the miniature stuff for sale and will even make small fairy gardens in pots for you. They carry all the miniature plants to go with it . . even miniature spruce trees.
They do not have a website so you have to go there to buy these things.
I'm lovin' that teacup!
Wow, that large display would have captivated me for hours. I'd have pestered them for the names of all the plants, lol...
How neat!
It was in July of 2004 that Donna & I met for lunch and spent some time at M&M. I have not, since, found such a large collection of miniatures for sale. Just last year, I finally broke down and bought some things to get started. Will have to post those pictures another time when I can find them.

Those really are some of the best ones I've seen(so far) in all my googling for miniature and dish gardens.
Thank you for sharing!

When I go back to CA this Fall, I'll stop down and snap some pictures indoors of the things they carry.
I spend enough time on Dave's Garden as it is! Maybe this Tiny Garden forum wasn't such a good idea after all! I'll never get anything done from gawking at these gorgeous miniatures, LOL!!!
OMG, I can hear the cash registers ringing...........LOL.
Thanks for the adorable pictures and I think I have to go and visit there. It shouldn't be that far away, map quest here I come.
I can't wait for our members to start making their fairy gardens so we have more pictures to see.
I think I have some mini things in my Christmas stuff when I was constructing a Christmas village. No little faries yet, but I'm going to start shopping. Have to put my gnomes on hold for a little while. I found a few gnomes today at Walgreens, and so happy to see them marked down to .50 cents.

Sami,
M&M is about 30 min from you in good traffic; Toward the south end of Tustin Street (Ave?) way South of the Orange Mall (which has been renamed The Village). Luckily for me (or maybe unluckily) it is about 5 minutes from my house in Orange.
TwinLakes, I did a map quest and have it all printed out so next step is finding a day that I can visit it. Thanks for the info.
Good for you (or maybe bad); you'll be hooked. Take plenty of money.
I feel like going and buying some more faries now.... So insperational.
The Fairies they sell there run $12.98 each. They are replicas of Cicely Mary Barker's illustrations of Flower Fairies. At age 16 she published a set of post cards. She was born in 1895 in South London. She taught herself to draw and paint. There was a series of Flower Fairy books published in 1923 with botanically accurate illustrations accompanied by poems.
The material is resin and unfortunately after one summer in my Iowa garden which is part shade, they are already fading. I should hav sprayed them with Krylon UV protectant spray.
You can find other people that produce the fairy figurines but they are not as detailed as hers. And now that I have 3 of hers . . in looking for others it is hard to find ones in the proportionate size.
I still like hers the best for the detail . . things in minniature with great detail.
I just love it... I have a faries. They are all weatherd. My stupid camera recharable battery will not charge. I need to get a new one, so when i do ill take some picks. I love how creative you can get with these.
