Well, we decided to put the guineas and their little rooster pals out in the expansion of the henhouse today. DH cut a chicken door in the front, covered it with hardward cloth on the inside, put chicken wire over the pass through (where the old window was in the original henhouse). and we then put the babies out. DH thought I only wanted the guineas moved, and he was getting them out of the pen in the garage and was passing over the little roos. I asked him why and he said he thought I was only moving the keets. I said "no, all of them". Made it very much easier.
So, now they are in the expansion for the next 2 months or so, until I am able to let them out with the other chickens. We have to wait until the little roos get big enough to mix with the adult chickens or will have trouble with the adults.

Guineas got moved today
Sounds like you had a busy day Granny! Are the guineas and the little roos happy with their new digs?

hey GG, bet you are glad to get that garage back!
Ladybug, well, it seems to me that they are a little leery about it yet, but they will adjust in a few days.
Tamara, you better believe it!! We are going to have company over the holiday weekend and might be able to use it for something instead of being cooped up in the house. It's more fun out there. I might even be able to ride my tricycle again. At lease if my back allows it.

You reclaimed your space, huh? It's nice that you will be able to use it for other purposes now. : )
When we were expecting some last minute company, you should have seen my DH kick it into high gear to get all the boxes and cages of chicks, poults, and keets out of the house! He has come around to the idea that sometimes it is just better to have them in the house for a while to make sure they are ok, especially during cold weather, but he didn't think our friends would think much of the idea. I thought it was so funny!
