I counted them. There are 38 buds on this brug. 38! I am just waiting for the flush, it is gonna be awesome.
Waiting for the flush!!
Lucky you, what is her name
Serendipity.
Very pretty I love those fuzzy brugs.
Serendipity was added to my collection this year.
Thanks for the pictures and please post more. I am really looking forward to see my new beauties bloom but that will not be until fall here. Just to darn hot.
Lisa, you are such a good plant-grower - it's sure a pretty Brug!
Oh I love that pic. It looks so perfect! So pretty! I really like the shade of pink, too. But I like all pink... and red and yellow and orange and white... Lisa thanks for sharing, it is gorgeous!
That Angel looks so majestic...and the flowers will look glorious once out...
I can't wait to see this one in full bloom!
So healthy!!! I love a healthy brug pic! So pretty!
Lisa! Gorgeous plant and buds! Thanks for the pic update... oh... the waiting...and it's pink!
I really like this one. It gets so hot and humid here and it has yet to droop or wilt.
Wow that is pretty. Does it stay that nice soft powdery pink...?
Starts out white and gets progressively pinker. Just got a little darker then pictured
Rylaff, hehe, i also count my blooms! So pretty! Clemen
OMG! 38??? And I was excited when I noticed that mine had 4! Sheesh...
I have never had a flush like that. I dont know if it is a quirk or if Serendipity just blooms like that.
Can we have an update, please?
Teresa! HI! How have you been? Where have you been? Where have I been? Nice to see you here! And Sequee! Hi! How's your brug's growin? Lisa, how much longer??? It's going to be picture perfect when they start pokin out!
Hey, AuntB! They're lookin' good out there, but a ways to go. The cuttings you sent me had mixed results. I was so annoyed when Maya bit the dust, but PTree and Versi Peach are doing great. It's always a mystery why some take off so well, and others turn to mush
And now we wait...
It's that waiting... I don't like it. I had a couple cuttings of Maya I started last spring make it.. even through winter...I think with Maya, it's best to root her in Spring... so I'm trying to get more going, now... I'll keep you in mind when I get some rooted good. Great to hear about PTree and Versi! I just realized I have 1 new plant from cuttings of the PTree, I better keep her, I didn't get my big "tree" cutting planted this spring... I've had a Charles G that I got in Fall 2006, it sat all last growing season, nothing budged it. I managed to keep it all winter and it's FINALLY showing some growth (it's about a foot tall)... I've never heard of a Charles Grimaldi being so stubborn.. So he better bloom this season or he's compost.. (okay, I'll give it to somebody).. but I hope to see blooms this year on him. I wasn't very successful with my cuttings last fall. I got a few to root, so it wasn't a total wash. And the experience is worth even more, so I'll try some again in Fall this year. So fun!
LOL AuntB - We're all here now, waiting to see the blooms! ;-)
What a nice shot Rylaff, love the different stages in one shot! Clemen
I swaer, if I ever went ouytside and saw a sight like that, I'd have a heart attack on the spot! But what a way to go!!!
Absolutely stunning!! (But I must ask myself, how could they not be perfect in a place called Niceville???)
Ah, you just cant beat this place. Small town feel, 13 miles from Fort Walton Beach, just over the bridge from Destin and the beaches, on the bay, blue ribbon schools, college. Sigh. So what if we get an occasional hurricane. We are on the inlet and so the damage is not as severe as some other areas.
I remember trying to convince my ex- that we HAD to live in Niceville. As usual, he thought I was nuts... What's in a name??? We ended up buying a condo in Ft. Walton, kept it rented for a dozen years, then took a beating when I sold it. Once I took up gardening, I knew I'd never be happy in a 2nd floor Condo!!!
I grew up in Fort Walton but when I had kids, I moved to Niceville. Yea, I couldnt imagine living in a condo either. I need room!!!!!
La, la, la... "Oh give me land, lotsa land..." (Be grateful you can't hear my moving redition. I'm waiting to hear the dogs start to howl!)
Niceville. Such a lovely name for a town! I am more suited to a place called Wacky Town. LOL
OSeedDville?
OMG! Lisa, it is..... STUNNING! Such beautiful form and I love the twist the twangers have, it's perfect, I love them white and pink! So stately and proud! I dream of a country home, with a greenhouse (I could live in the GH for a while) lol, how peaceful it would be. But I am content on my little corner of the world, it's pretty private in my backyard on the edge of the city limits, pop. 700. Niceville does sound cozy, but I'm like lavender, closer to Wackytown. lol Lisa, we want more pic updates! LOVELY!
It's sooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!
No, Lisa, I meant I'm with Lavenderlady on the "wackytown"... lol My lavendar plant did okay for a year or two, but I lost it over winter......I'm sticking with my tropicals, too. My kids love lugging the huge heavy pots in spring and fall...
I bet they do AuntB.............LOL James
