I have grass coming up between the bricks in a number of my paths that obviously get paper put under them......Pulling it is causing too many problems, not to mention too time consuming. I refuse to use poisons to kill it. I have been told Vinegar will work, but is it offensive to the Butterflies?

Will Vinegar for weeds deter Butterflies?
I wouldn't think so, but I haven't tried it. I do seem to remember reading somewhere that you need something stronger than normal household vinegar, but maybe regular white vinegar would at least help. I think I'm going to try one of those propane torches... I have a walkway and patio areas with weeks popping up between the pavers.
Wow!....Propane torch sounds a hell of a lot more fun!....I do believe I will be doing that one....Haha
I am a pyro maniac, I don't know why I never thought of it myself.

A friend of mine has highly recommended the Primus Gardener Weed Torch from AM Leonard. :-)

TJB.....I have used vinegar on grass in a walkway for years, but never saw a decrease in butterflies. I use it in mid-morning so it will bake the weeds in the mid day sun. Usually the smell has evaporated after that. I guess what I am saying is, if it does deter, it is only for a short time.
BTW.......it does not get rid of nutshedge!! That stuff it tough!
