Banana ID?

I bought this in a small 1 gal. a couple of years ago and promptly lost the tag. Anyone here know their bananas that can help with an ID?

It may be Ensete Ventricosum. I have one that looks just like it. The red stripe down the back is what makes me think so.....But I'm no expert

No, not Ventricosum, there is no red on this one at all.

Definately an Ensete.

Ensete superbum maybe, It looks simlar to mine that I started from seed.

Are the Ensete easy to start from seed? I have started Bananas from seed with no problem. Now I want to try Ensete.
