Hi,
I have a strep cutting that needs to be potted as soon as possible. The local shop ran out of AV compost.
I have a bag of Promix with fungicide. Is it OK to use it for the strep? I will mix in some perlite to make it lighter. This potting compost is supposed to be multi purpose.
thank you.
promix compost for streps?
I would think it would be fine to pot your Strep cutting in the Promix with fungicide. Looks like a lot of the Strep growers are absent from DG today Spider. I think I remember Gessiegail talking about using Promix but I'm not certain. Hopefully someone will pop in later this afternoon with some advice for you.
i always use pro mix, but not with fungicide, still should be ok. i also add pearlite , vermiculite & charcol.

thank you Plantladylin and Mrsbonnie. I am mixing perlite with the compost to make it lighter.
Lots of new faces here at the AV forum. I have been away for about 2 years and don't know most of you.
But the forum looks as great as ever! And I love the photos!
Hi Spider! I still consider myself a newbie here. I began my subscription to DG in September 2006 but I know a lot of folks have been members for quite a few years. I love this garden! Have learned so much and made some great friends here!
Look forward to chatting with you and seeing your photo's!
Hi Plantladylin,
looking forward to chatting also.
I have some photos but I have to dig them up!
