Last week was the third example of Addy seeming to imitate another dog after a visit to the dog park. 'We' were playing with a sweet German Pointer who would fetch and drop the ball at my feet. Ady was sort of standing around, didn't think she was paying attention to that but darned if she didn't do the exact same thing at home the next day. (After many days of me trying to teach her to do it, instead of her preferred run back and tease me with the ball and then lay down and chew it)
The dog park was the first place she watched another dog fetch a tennis ball, and start doing it. Prior to that she wanted to just chase soccer balls.
So is this common?
She is also trying a maybe not so good thing she saw, chasing another dog and play grabbing the dog's back. I'm hoping the other dogs tell her when they are not happy with that.
