LOOKING TO PURCHASE 2 GINGERS.

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Hello, everyone.

I wish to purchase rhizomes for these 2 gingers I have admired in Hawai'i. Here is the first one. Does anyone grow this? I believe it is etlingera venustua.

Thank you.

Sylvain.

And I also wish to purchase red torch gingers (etlingera eliator). Does anyone here grow this? Would you consider selling some?

Thanks.

We need to scare up Jenny or Carol. Bet they would know if anyone does. Good evening, Sylvain. Hope you are enjoying your new home.

I got those gingers off ebay once, from a guy in HI they didn't live through the winter in the greenhouse though, but they were nice plants when they came to me.

Actually, things are looking up. One of my friends grows red torch gingers right here a few miles away. She generously agreed to let me have some. The other one is a bit on the scarce side. I was hoping someone here would grow it and be willing to sell some.

Hope springs eternal. If you remember, hope is all that was left at the bottom of the box when Pandora released all the evils of mankind, even after Zeus himself had told her NOT open the box.

Take care, all.

Seems like Buried-Treasure.net had the first one.

Thanks. I will give them a try. I really appreciate this.

Hello there,

I just looked and Top Tropicals has it available for 14.95 in a gal pot. Hmm, sure is pretty, maybe I need this one as well.
