My biggest rooster, Rocky, says Ponce De Leon every time he crows. I often think that maybe he really wants to go to Florida to look for the Fountain of Youth!
My Polish rooster, Satchmo, is more into current events. He says Ahmadinejad (president of Iran) over and over when he crows.
Our youngest rooster, Sequel (Rocky II) is still trying to crow. Every day it sounds different, and so far, does not sound like a crow at all!

Our 2 year old roo sounds like he says "I can crow.....maybe" he has a little squeak at the end.
One of our Polish sounds like he says "I'm a rooster" The other one (we no longer have) sounded like he said "I'm a biker dude" and he looked like a biker dude.
Our little Sebright roo sounds like he says "I'm Speckles" his name is Speckles too.
One of ours (we never figured out who it was) said Hoo-Hoo when he first started crowing. Well, he said it with a TN accent so it sounded more like Hew-hew. LOL.
Now when I want to call them to me I yell hoo-hoo.
I've never heard Clyde complete a crow. Every time he starts, Bruno chases him and of course he cuts it off sharp. Rocky, my 4yr old RIR, actually sounds like a "cock-a-doodle-do". He has the clearest bell tones when he crows. Bruno sounds a bruno.
One of my hatchlings is trying to crow and he sounds just like he's choking.

Granny, I think it is hilarious when a young rooster first tries to crow! My husband and I just laugh and laugh at 5:00 AM when we here Sequel making his morning attempt!
We sold our 2 one year old roosters about 2 weeks ago and have a bunch of young one's now that aren't crowing yet. Both of our older rooster though did the errr, errrrr, errr,errrrrr,ERRRRRRRRRRRah.
I can't wait for the younger one's to start though. I too, love the way they get started. Some of them don't have any problems at all, but the ones that either look surprised that they are making noise like that or get that half choked thing going crack me up! lol : )
I just listened to Bruno crowing and he sounds just like he's saying "who the heck cares".
