Secret Trade... What Did You Get????????
Woohoo Sue!!! That was a great box!!! Guess you are the first but there should be more, I know some people sent their boxes on Monday and I sent mine yesterday. Can't wait to see what everyone else gets!!!
Thanks Sue for starting this thread. I got my box today from our one and only Jody (secret swap organizer). Lucky me!! It's like Christmas. The plants arrived in perfect condition even in this heat. So many of them too. I got tiger lily bulbs, pink pampas grass, mexican hat, pink and white yarrow, shasta daisy, ming toy (red), burgundy gailardia (have been wanting this), Geranium S. 'Alba', (another one I wanted), malva white and ladybells. Believe it or not, I have none of these. I hope I remembered everything...Oh NO I didn't. There was also an adorable minature brass watering can filled with packs of seeds...coreopsis, chelone-turtleheads, hollyhock mix, lavendar columbine, foxglove-foxymix, and last but not least asclepias-white. Am I one lucky girl or what? I am now off to play in the dirt. yippeee Ree--->doing the happy dance.
That mystic, is one fine Lady! Congrats!

Jody,
I'm sending my secret trade in two separate mailings. Can you email me with my secret pal's email so I can let her know. I don't want her to get the first box and freak out.
Thanks.
Carla
Tooo Late, Smilin32.....I got it,, and I been scratching my head, and going thru old emails, and notebooks.....even looked up address on the web....those are some good looking little plants, but what are they and are they for sun or shade?
"eyes"
UH OH! I got a package from smiln32 also. Was there a mixup somewhere?
I'm Confused, ........I didn't have a trade working there....or if I did, I'm losing it, I have no data anywhere. If
I have something that needs to go somewhere else, please let me know and I will see that it is taken care of. And, it goes without saying, that if I owe you a trade......please jog my memory!

Toadlily,
You were my secret trade buddy. I have also emailed you directly in response to your message to me. You are most welcome, by the way.
Eyes,
I think your confusion will be cleared up shortly as I sent you a copy of an email detailing a trade between us.
There, that's better.
Thamk you Smilin32....for awhile there I thought I was going bonkers. Look for the Collinsville Express passenger manifest Tuesday.

I received more plants and seeds than I can even remember. It took me more than an hour to get everything planted. Whew! What a delight, though. I never would have thought to ask for some of these things, but now that I have them, I'm so very pleased.
The generosity of each and every person I've met through this site is amazing. God has blessed me so richly by knowing you all.

Christmas came early to the Jersey Shore today when I received a suspiciously large and heavy box from Notmartha. Enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon unpacking all 22 (no that's not a typo) perennials! Looking forward to getting everything planted tomorrow. Somehow, not one of these was a plant I was already growing! As if that was not enough, there were also numerous packages of seed all done up in their Dave's Garden packets, a rain gauge, a gardening magazine, and a handcrafted potpourri hanging. I will post a list of the plants later, as I get them into the ground and onto the inventory.
Dori/Notmartha, Thank you very much for your overwhelming generosity! I will spend many pleasant hours planting and enjoying your lovely surprise package. John/Pardancanda
My secret trade is someone I email almost daily. My very special friend is Ree. She sent me not one but two boxes full of plants. She sent me huge divisions of Pink Obedient plant, Pink Bee Balm, Tropicanna canna, Plumbego, Blue Spiderwort, Purple Dutch Iris, 2 Hostas and a Bouganvilla. She also sent me a pair of gloves and some Bee hand balm. Hmmmmmmm how'd she know I need those to finish cleaning up the briars on the side of the house. Thanks so much Ree. You are very special to me. (grinning like a kid at Christmas)
Teresa
My secret trade came yesterday when this large box arrived! I was just overwhelmed when I opened it. It was like there was no bottom! First of all there was a clump of chives. i was going to plant some seeds in the spring! Now I won't have to!, a pink mystery plant with the prettiest little pink flowers, Two hostas, one plain and one varigated. I was planning eventually to get several to use as accent pieces. Now I have some! Some wild fern, the painters destroyed mine, so now I can start a new bed. Rudbeckia Goldsturm, violets, artemisia, mixed tulips and mixed daffodils! If that wasn't enough, there was a darling birdhouse made by my secret trader, Debi_z!!! It's beautiful and no way will that go, outside! It's sitting on a table in the living room! I am so proud of it! Debi, I really am at a loss of words as to how to thank you! Everything is just perfect, Thank you, Thank you, so much.. Doris :)
Please be sure all secret trades have been sent. If you haven't sent yours and aren't going to today please e-mail me so I can inform your trader.
Thanks!! :)
I would be ever so grateful if anyone cares to share absolutely anything they have…seeds…of any sort that you are allowed to mail to CANADA would be most appreciated...We are on an extremely tight budget but I want to teach my children as much as I can about nature. I HOME SCHOOL our 4 little ones, Sally 8, Ursula 6, Natalie 4, Neil, 2(and Yoda the dog, 6) learn about gardening and have the happy memories of growing and tending their own plants. Just anything would be a wonderful help to get our garden and our nature lessons going. I am really looking forward to teaching my children the joys of growing and nurturing in the garden and also to attract some good bugs birds and wildlife to examine and appreciate. Any info about the plant seeds would be welcome to assist my teaching about other countries and areas and the heritage and homeland of the plants we are trying to grow.
Hopefully we would have thing we could trade soon too but for now all we can offer is our thanks and postage payment if that helps anyone....God’s blessings to everyone for sharing so kindly with others. I don’t have anything to trade yet but promise I will share my future efforts with others.
Love and many thanks in advance……!
Amanda with Sally, Ursula, Natalie, Neil and Yoda ( the dog)

First, my apologies. As this was my first 'Surprise Trade' I had no idea that I was to post here when I received my surprise.
I received a box full of goodies from John/pardancanda weeks ago...(think is was around the first of Sept). I am currently in process of starting an herb garden and John sent bunches of herbs, some Iris Neomarica, some neat Egyptian Walking Onion bulbs, Fennel, Tansy, and a start of 'Golden Tiara' Hosta. (You were right, John...it was under some newspaper at the bottom). John also graciously answered all of my questions about the plants and seeds he sent.
Everything is planted now and doing well. I loved participating in this trade and will look forward to the next surprise trade.
Thank you soo much Jody, for all your hard work in making this trade soo much fun!!
Cora*
I've been busy this morning planting and potting all my wonderful plants that my secret trade, Joy sent. {{{{{Joy}}}}
