Yeppers, that thar's a Southern Snipe Hunt, all right.

The Scouts tried that on this one when we moved to Oklahoma, but I grew up in northern Minnesota and was really into identifying all the different birds - had about a half dozen books, and knew all about Snipes. So I knew their habitat, and where they wanted us Tenderfeet to set up to hunt was DEFINITELY the wrong place, and wrong time to find them. Some of the others wanted to do it anyway, but I started spewing my encyclopedic knowledge of Snipes and ruined the senior scouts plans. I got left out of a bunch of such "fun".

Your granny gave you some great advice, Paul.

Keep em comin'.

Thanks Bubba glad you enjoyed it......You knew more than I did, I swear a snipe could've been a type of bear for all I knew....I was just hoping whatever it was it was not bigger than my sack......:)

Wait a minute. WE had to bang the ground with a stick and call out like a snipe when we went snipe hunting... for some reason it always made Uncle Ray laugh and laugh...

Piedmont, AL(Zone 7b)

Boy oh Boy brigidlily I wish Uncle Ray had taken me snipe hunting.....Now he sounds like a hoot......:)

I'm not going to be the new anything anymore.....from now on, just the old foggie for me......:)
Although I will consider the new old foggie for classification purposes only........:)

Piedmont, AL(Zone 7b)

Married?...Oh yea, very happily too.....Ah as far as the professional monikers go, I'm mostly a professional storyteller...I tell stories and my wife fixes me dinner as payment......:)
I got a brother though, but you seem like a nice young lady so I won't introduce you to him.........:)
You should pay me for not doing it........:)......He's that high maintenance........:)
