Congrats tf......the little buggers are so cute!

(Zone 6b)

That's great Tamara, too bad they don't stay babies. I miss mine already. I may have to not talk to you guys. Every time I see your pictures I want some new ones.

I really need to just take care of the ones I have.

I am not like you, I cannot sell anything.. at least I don't think I can. When I get a pet it's mine for life, however long or short that is.

I sure don't need more to take care of... but still... Oh my they are CUTE. And I could be saving lives?

Gee get me out of here.

they are such good babies! they had to stay inside due to rain today. DH says it oculd rain for a week.... so i went and bought a wading pool for them, to move them in tomorrow. well, Orion thinks it is his. once the chicks are int her i don't know what he'll do.... he can have it AFTER they are done...

I love baby birds. Love them. So sweet and cuddly and cute.

thanks for the pics, I got a great idea for all those cardboard egg cartons I have been saving. Give them babies something to play in.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

may i recommend the styrofoam instead? i was concerned they might start pecking and eating hte styrofoam. but i have a young one in with them who scratches and messes up the wter, so very quickly the cardboard ones got wet and mold began to grow underneath...

no prob, just switch edwading pools, new beeding and htose styro cartons are just as much fun! they evn have a small box on it's side, from my kids snack packs. they like to hide in and behind it. last night june bugs kept coming in to their light, and they would go nuts over them. well the ones who brag and run around eventually lose it to the quicker faster hungrier chick LOL, but the ones smart enough to go behind the box with their CATCH get it to themselves LOL...

i ddid misocunt that day, had 52, and lost one yesterday.

won't be getting the crestd special until July 9th, they are sol out!!!

btw, those cartons are also used as feeders. keeps the feed out of the bedding, and gives 18X3 feeders for them.... set the waterers on the lids....

awsome ideas thanks. yes i have the styro also. I still have my big metal feeder and water can from the last set of chicks. Will be able to use them when they all get bigger. They are so much fun to watch. My mom has 3 hens that are 3 years old now and it was so much fun when my DH would find a bug and throw it into them and the one that bragged about that bug lost out.
