I punch in every morning on my way to the garden! ;)
how do you start your day
Cute, lol. First thing I do is get my coffee and then get on Dave's. Once the daylilies start blooming, I will be going out first thing in the morning to pollinate.
COFFEE!!!! Then go to work and punch a real time clock. LOL, would rather be doing what notmartha is doing!
I start the coffee pot and then feed fawns, baby birds, squirrels, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and dogs (in that order). Then I feed me, watch the weather and head back outside for the rest of the day.
I get up and go pee then go back to bed and lay there listening to Johnny and Blondie on the radio. After a couple hours I get up and hubby and I take turns doing breakfast. Whoever doesn't cook has to make the bed. We feed my mom and give her meds then decide what we're going to do for the day after we read our email. We each have our own computers. :) We're both retired now so we can do whatever we want to. :)

I usually am up between 4:30/5:30 every morning, First thing I do is turn the PC on, make coffee go tinkle *blush* lol then grab a cup of coffee and check out Daves talk to Dori for a bit and then head out side.
Today DH got up b4 me, I slept in til 7:20, He made the coffee this morning, so I came and turned on the PC, went tinkle then grabbed a cup of coffee and opened up Daves :o)
Like the time clock Dori ^_^ and the fountain (on another post) very pretty.
Ken and I went to Menards in Toledo and I got 3 bags of moisture controlled potting soil for 6.88 a bag, Dori they were big bags like what you brought me from Kens place. Then we went to Parans and I got 2 bicolor butterfly bushes for 7.99 (buy one get one free) ^_^ and they have blooms on them, will try to get a pic later today. I put one out in the peony bed and one in the big bed. Can't wait til I get all the plants in.
Got quite a few DL's getting ready to bloom, my Just Kiss Me and Gillian's already blooming. Pretty :o)
I also bought some other plants and a couple more pony tail grasses.
Ken bought me a set of solar lights for 35.00, not bad at all, got two spot lights and 8 reg. lights (10 all together) no wires. I put 2 of the lights in the big bed where I have the bike and umbrella he bought me last year, and the rest by the back patio. I got so sleepy last night went to bed without even checking them out. Ken has the spot lights shining on the fountain he bought me. Today I got to clean house, dh is going to be cutting grass and it takes him 4 hours, so he will be out of my way lol.
Connie
well since my morning is everyones evening (I work midnights) my life is topsy turvey. When I get off work I go to the gym (if I'm being good lol) then drive home and check out my garden before going into the house to get on the computer till my eyelids start drooping, then head to bed (usually around 10 a.m.). But since I just found out a little while ago that I'm getting laid off (nobody seems to want to buy trucks, wonder why?) I will have tons of free time
jdalfred, SO sorry about your job! It seems like the only jobs around here are at the casino.
Thanks jyl, I'm sure the casinos will be hurting soon with the gas prices so high, especially the ones up-north.
Connie how are the solar lights you bought ( the spot light ones) are they very bright? I went down to that new Menards last week, but I went kind of late and with my husband, browsing is always to a minimum with him lol. I was glad to see they put one a little closer to me, last summer I drove all the way to Chelsea to check it out. At least I think it was Chelsea, I know it was far from here lol
I don't know, we just got them yesterday and I went to bed early last night and didn't get to see them in action lol, will check them out tonight and let you know.
I can't seem to win against the mosquitoes so I spend less time in the garden than I like.
Funny, they don't bite dh when he's mowing and sawing down trees and dreaming about storage buildings. And they don't bite dd when she's at work (owns a 1 woman lawn/garden care business).
I gt up late this month since dh is home to sleep in with me. (around 9:30 today. Then I exercise, eat breakfast or lunch, exercise, clean (not enough), exercise.....
I think I've brought my chol. down with the exercise, but it sure hasn't taken off weight or fat.
I spend..an hour or two...in the garden about every other day.
Before I started working again, I would get up, get that coffee and come in here to see what was up on DG before taking the dog on a long walk. That gets my day going.
Now that I am working, I get up, have coffee, get ready for work and then ck out DG. Poor dog has to wait for his walk until evening now.
Went out today and was pulling long grass and weeds that have shot up with all the rain. I am sore and tired. The dog does not seem to help. Mad at me about the work thing I guess. Ha.
I have to pull grass, when DH gets that weed wacker out, it is sometimes not pretty. The weed wacker seems to get a little agressive. I have seen a peony flower get cut off, when he was just looking that way. He now leaves a pretty big area around KNOWN plants. He doesn't like to see me cry. LOL.
well I guess I can edit my post now with the new puppy add;take him ouy at 5:30 feed him then make coffee so we can get on here hes 40 lbs now but still has to sit in my lap and visit Daves
Gloria ;0)
Sounds like we all have just about the same mornings to a degree. Mine starts with waking up to the sound of elk bugeling, or horses kicking the barn because they are hungry, and or my beautiful wind chimes. I have a least 10 of them. Then go stumbling to the ,you know, the head, then of course ,that delectable cup of java, then to the deck outside, weather permiting, more java, more java, mooooore jajajajajvavava, then chores, which consists of house stuff, which I just LOOOOOOOVE. NOT!!! Cleaning horse stalls, OH what a delight! And then whatever the day brings. All in all, life is good!!!
