Do you know an OMC?

Sacramento, CA

Studly. Potentially cranky. Been around the block more than a few times. Covered with scars. Thought of wistfully by "ladies of the street".

You know what I'm talking about. OMC, bay-bee!

Old
Man
Cats.

OMCs rock. All animals are great, from cats to zebras, but OMCs have me at meow. My DH groans everytime we see a stray, feral or adoptable OMC - I'm drawn to them like butter. (Luckily he's a sucker too.)

I'm going to paste in part of the story of one of my wonderful OMCs. (This was posted in another thread previously.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Max is sadly no longer with us - he was already very old and very beat up when I adopted him from the Humane Society. When Russ and I got married, Max was the first "old-man cat" that he had ever had (I was a long-time OMC adopter), and Max changed his life. His love for Max helped him be even more understanding of older people with health and mobility issues. My sweet Max had a broken ear (bent to one side), hair standing on end, a surly expression and his tail & back were crooked from breaks in three places each. In other words, he was gloriously handsome. Since Max looked tough but acted sweet, it was a great example of looking beyond appearances. "

Here is a pic of my baby-boy Max.
