It's only mid-June, in New York! and I have a bud! I could faint!!!
(Hope the picture took...I was shaking with excitement. Had to run in and get the camera. So what if I'm late for work!)
O...M...Gosh!
Sequee, yippie, you got a bud, you got a bud!!!! Congrats, CLemen
After waiting patiently for 3 years, I finally got my first blooms last year, but they were no where near this early. I'm hoping this will be the year of the blooms!!!
Thanks for sharing my excitement with me!
Congratulations!! I hope this is the first of many for you!!!
ME, TOO!!! I'm keeping everything crossed that my Peaches & Cream will flower this year. She was a stubborn girlie last year, so let's hope she decides to put on a show this year!
Sequee, with all of our positive thinking, whe will! Guaranteed! Clemen
From your mouth to God's ears!
Hi Janice...like you, I'm waiing with baited breath for your bud to bloom.
I've just started collecting brugs ,have quite a collection but they are still sooooo small ,so I'm fiesting my eyes on everyone elses.I have just had a brug Y and that nearly made me pass out, imagine what my first bud will do to me.
We are now in our winter, so things have slowed down but because I'm in the tropics, my brugs are still growing.
Please post your pic when it blooms...BTW what name is your ANGEL?
Oh my! Look at those lovely whole leaves. I need NOLO badly.
Mya - She was gifted to me by MSJen as a "twig" in 2004. Last year she bloomed for the first time, and blessed me with many gorgeous, scented flowers. She is: Rosa Uberraschung, and MSJen is now JustJen!
Betty - It's very early in the season here. Give me a month and the leaves will be lacy from the Japanese Beetles, especially since I got rid of my Canna, so they won't be here to take thebrunt of the invasion.
Here's the right side of my back stairs - in the pouring rain. Rosa is in the lower right corner.
LOL...guess NOT! The only one you can see at all in that photo is the variegated foliage of the P&C!
I'll see if the left side took, but it was just as rainy there, so probably not!
Thanks for the good wishes. This is such a thrill. Every year I swear I will throw them to the dogs after their aphis reign terror on my other plants, but then I think of the luscious scent...and the beautious blooms, and all y resolve fades!
