I have started my seeds indoors, and now am wondering when is the best time to plant them in the garden. I live just north of Dallas.
Thanks in advance for the help.
When to plant tomatoes for Fall crop?
You might want to pose this question in the Tomato Forum. I have had tomatoes come on the vine late in November and ate them on New Year's Day. These had been covered by leaves falling from the trees, that served as a thermal blanket, so to speak, only thing I can think of.

In your area, third week of July to Aug 1 is generally a good date to shoot for. You probably want to get them in and established before Sept arrives, and hopefully brings some slightly cooler days (and nights) so the plants can set some fruit. That was when I generally planted when I lived in your area. It's pretty much the same here, except I have another 7-10 days of leeway.
