First the sky has been filled with Chimney swifts and I have seen the Common Nighthawk this year. The best sighting so far however was this juvenile Kestrel perching with it's mom on my roof terrace. As I returned with my camera I found the mother flew off while her charge stayed behind to rest until she returned. http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/American_Kestrel.html
Juvenile Kestrel
Thats neat, I love the American Kestrel! Thanks for posting it.
Great sighting! Lucky you, way.
Well spotted. Really interesting information about the nesting practice. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
