The leaves on my fig tree are turning brown. From the looks of it I think it is anthracose which they can get here in Texas. Anyone know how to treat the plants. It is spreading to other fig trees. Organic means preferred but not limited since I need these trees. anyone interested in Figs please let me know I am always looking for information and new varieties. Right now I only have Brown Turkey and Black Mission.
Fig Troubles
The first link was the only thing I was able to find on edible figs in Texas. The second link describes what anthacnose looks like on figs. According to this link there is no approved fungicide against antracnose if Florida. I don't know if there is one in Texas. I suggest you contact AgriLife (local Cooperative Extension). They should be able to give you the latest information.
You will need to remove all infected leaves and fruit and dispose of them carefully.

Our figs get rust down here. We use copper sulfate to spray.
