Daffs didn't bloom

(GayLynn) Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

My daffs didn't bloom this year... well I did get 1. They are still completely green. I figure they need to be thinned out a bit as the clump has become larger and crowded. When can I do this? Now? Wait until they turn brown? Wait until the fall? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

I find it's easiest to thin in the fall so you can divide and replant and tada you're done.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Will do.

Daff's not blooming?

from American daffodil society page:

Might want to check and see if you have any other factors that might apply. Hope this helps.

Debbie, very helpful! Thanks! I see a couple things on that list that might apply.

You are quite welcome GayLynn, I have a lot of daff's myself. For some reason or other, one or the other of these multitude of varieties doesn't seem to bloom each year so I have to look at that every year to try to figure the mystery out myself.
