I can't wait to see if the next leaf looks like this.
Check out this Mutation
What exactly is it doing?.....has it grown multiple leaves grafted to one another?
It appears to be a double leaf. Only one stem. You can see how I've lifted the flap (one of the leaves). They meet in the middle.
That is a very strange leaf. What is the name of this plant? This is one for LariAnn! Jerry
This is Maui Magic
This mutation is often seen on hybrids or unstable forms of Colocasias. In every case I have seen the plant will be normal and this mutation does not seem to stick. The mutation is the fusion of two leaves into one. Many aroids show similar types of mutations of leaves which look to be partial inflorecenses. Some chemicals can cause this as well as pushing a plant to hard and fast. I did have one plant produce 3 leaves like this in a roll only to revert back to normal. It would be a very interesting plant if the mutation would stick. I have seen it around a dozen times and for me it always reverts back to normal. That does not mean it is not possible though.
I've seen a similar phenomenon on one of my Alocasia x portora plants. See this link:

Notice the leaf with two tips!
