Cute Paul... you know.. I was wondering if you had a little "nutty" bone in your body... now I know you do... anybody that wears shorts and sandles in 18 degree weather???? well their bread just aint brown... and that saying is from TN.. I bet your sweet wife will know what I am talking about if you don't..LOL

I enjoy your little stories... nutty and all!!

Great story, Paul! I live in the other end of Tn. It's pretty up there, isn't it? We're sorta flat country down here!

Beck from Tx, I asked my wife about my bread not being brown, she said she thought the oven had never even been turned on to begin with, hmmmmm wonder what she meant my that?......:)

Thanks for reading the story Beck and thanks for taking the time to write.......One little aside here, I'm always kidded around town for wearing shorts 365 days a year, I went to a visitation at the funeral home awhile back and this man who I just loved to death had passed away, me and him were buddies for years.....He was like a father to all the kids in town as he ran the YMCA for 50 years I guess.....Anyways he son told me when I went through the line that he was glad I was still wearing shorts cause he father would have been disappointed if I had worn anything else.....anyways his son was a nice guy, we went to school together and his dad was just the best.

Audrey....thanks for reading the story and so glad you enjoyed it, I've always thought Tennessee about as beautiful as it gets....I love them farms not only in the mountains but in the lower hill country too....When my friends tell me how nice my wife is, I tell'em if they're single they need to head on up there to Tn. and find them a good woman before they're all gone, but I reckon Tn. ain't going to run out of good women anytime soon........:)

LOL Paul.... you are too much!! Naw... your bread is brown.. might be a little soggy from all that mayo....hehe... but it's brown all right!!! I guess that's one way to get noticed.... and after all this time of wearing shorts and sandles.... I can hear your epitaph.... or is it eulogy..?... now... the sweet.. "soggy, brown bread guy.. who wore shorts and sandles all the time.. even in 18 degree TN weather.. to wed his beautifull bride....hehehehe

I don't post everytime.. but I get a kick out of your stories, and always brings a smile to my "crusty" ol face!! LOL

You're gettin' better, Paul.

What with finishing your stories in one episode,
and now with a "punch line", too!!

ROTFLMAO Thanks, buddy.

Becky I got news for you....ain't no face crusty that smiles, and bet yours ain't......and one last thing, just being kinda goofy but when you said that wearing shorts and sandals is one way to get 'noticed', Lord Becky I'm 6'8" and weigh around 290, I don't need anything else to get noticed, I just like wearing shorts and sandals.......and as wild and crazy as I guess my stories are I like to think I'm a kind of low key guy, but don't tell my wife I said that about being low key, she'll call me a liar.......:)

and absolutely positively the last thing, thank you so much for reading my stories in the first place and taking the time to write me about them in the second place.....take care Becky.

Bubba since I took that new fangled course "How To Write Award Winning Novels In Five Easy Steps" all my stories are much better, who knew that stories were supposed to have a beginning, a middle and an end and a "punch line" too.....You see that's the 4 of the 5 steps to writing an award winning novel, oh you want to know what the 5th step is Bubba?.....the 5th step is to send them $49 for the first 4 steps........:)

ohh yes.. about the crusty face.. I am 'Scarlett".. I almost forgot...hehehehehehhe... now where is that RHETT??

Piedmont, AL(Zone 7b)

Rhett?...I'll tell you where Rhett is, he's stuck in traffic on I-75 in Atlanta, if you think traffic was bad when Sherman burned Atlanta and everyone was leaving before he got there with his army, you should see everyone leave Atlanta on Friday's about 4 o'clock now, you'd think Sherman was on his way again.......:)
