The new IGS shelves will be here next week. My violets have grown so much, they need elbow room. I will put the new one right beside the old one in our office. My son is going to come over and put it together with hubby. I can't get on the floor or bend over after the surgery. I didn't want to wait though. Will be weeks before I can do all that.
New IGS shelves are on the way!
very nice.good to have nice sons to do little things.lol

Sally,
I was playing with my shelfs today but I want to say yours look great... I also know you had surgery but not what kind but I hope you recover really fast.... Really nice flowers.
Hugs,
Susan
Thank you. Total Hysterectomy, abdominal. I did more today. 12th day afterwards... I had a VERY bad cold when I came home from the hospital. Coughing and sneezing. Even today, STILL coughing. That is not fun with my incision and inside stitches.
Hubby does most of the work AND goes to work. He stayed home for 8 days. Has been a rough spring, but I hope I will keep healing and feel better. I had to miss my high school reunion last night.
Sally,
It does get better with time.. I had that also and then a couple years later had to have one of the surgery's repeated. Just take it easy.. I am sorry about your cold as I bet that hurt... My bladder shut down after the first one and I had to use a catheter every 4 hours for 6 weeks... I will keep you in my prayers.
Hugs,
Susan
It is amazing how much is involved. Sorry you had problems, that scares me! I am praying I won't have more problems. I cannot take medicine for pain, so it is horrible.
Most people do fine, so that is what I am hoping for. Not feeling good at the moment. Good then bad during the day... Yes coughing and sneezing constantly is horrible. I took medicines for coughing and Benedryl for sneezing, but this was a really bad one.

NO don't be afraid mine was diffrent... I am so sorry I did not say that in the last email... I had to have the hysto and bladder repair, then they missed the bowel the first time and had to go in again.... Then a couple years later everything fell again... I had to have it redone because they said the doctors did not do it correctly.... I also had to have allot of surgery for different matter but because of... YOU will be fine.. My bladder stopped because they worked on it. not just ok I will stop working now...
I am so sorry I posted as I did not mean to scare you, truly I did not... I am going to sit in the dog house now for up setting you... Sorry
Susan
Oh, Susan, that is OK. I am easily scared right now, 12 days out of surgery. I am also ALWAYS reading a site called HysterSisters. It is so very helpful but also scary. So many things can go wrong. I am hoping I will be fine. I have Chronic Fatigue, so I ahve to be careful. Also, ONE balance nerve. I am so sensitive to having problems! Not being able to take pain pills is a large problem after surgery too.
I hope you will be fine and you did nothing wrong, I am OK. Thank you for clearing it up for me though!
I did not take pain killers after surgery .... As I have Fibro and after surgery about 10 days I would say that kicks in and I feel like a truck it me.. They say it is from the way they put my body in surgery but never knows when its going to kick in and if very very bad then I will take a pain pill.. But I would take at work or drive or really go out of the house so is another reason I don't take ....LOL
Hugs,
Susan
Well, I sure would love to be able to help pain when I need it for this and the other times I need something. I had Lithotripsy 5 weeks ago too, no pills. OUCH.
Funny I had to have the one up my rectum and no meds for that either...did alright though... I have a very high tolerance of pain so I only take when I feel the road roller rolled me out flat.
Hugs and Goodnight.
Susan
I don't know what that is that you had.
The Lithotripsy destroys stones in the kidneys. Very intersting thing, but I hope I don't have to do it again or for a long time. I am drinking lots of water daily.
We are in the stone belt here.. even animals get allot of stones in the state... I had to have a camera put in my rectum and go all the way up to my intestines they were nice and let me watch the camera.. I am not the bionic Mesh women...LOL I have 5 Mess implants inside the last one was after the fixed 5 hernias that was a big mesh one... Hey life goes on and do I..
Are you drinking bottled water? cranberry juice helps they say also...
Hugs,
Susan
Don't even mention cranberry juice to my specailist, ha. He said that works only in the test tube. I used to drink it. It is possible to help maybe if there is not a physical reason for the infections, like my stones, polyps etc. He is a great urologist, but not super friendly. I am working on him and sometimes I get him to laugh!
Your mesh has nothing to do with stones, right? I was mixed up! Thank goodness for our health care and technology! Not pain free, but boy what a blessing!
Thank goodness, he will be watching for more stones with his ultrasound every few months now. Also, after I recover, I have ordered the package stuff that will test the foods I eat and possible help the future stones not happen. He said this can work and I can't wait to see!
I drink filtered, not bottled water that much. I drink LOTS of water, that really is the key to getting the small stones out. There are SO many things that it can be, but gene's are BIG. They are in my family. My Dad and sister have them and have been through a lot. Once you do know what kind you have, that helps in food choices. I do hope this testing will work for me. I want to wait a while to make sure the results are normal since I have had surgery etc. lately.
No nothing to do with stones... my 3 were for patches as I tend to herniate and two are slings holding my bladder and my bowel in place as mine tend not to like to stay where they belong...LOL
Get better really soon and take it easy.
Hugs,
Susan
Sally hope you are beginning to feel better and continue to feel stronger as each day passes..just curious..have your new shelves arrived yet?
Thank you! I am stronger now. Has been two weeks and two days. I had the two week post op appt yesterday with my doctor. She said I am healing well.
My shelves were supposed to arrive YESTERDAY! I hope they come today! My plants need more room to grow happily!
WOW! They just arrived! I guess you were good luck, I had just replied to your post!
LOL..How Wonderful Sally!! Can't wait to see it it all decked out with your lovely plants : )
That is very exciting, Sally. I just had to order 72 bulbs from INdoor Gardening Supplies today. Now, that is not a fun way to spend money. I can tell by my soft foliage on plants that my bulbs need to be replaced and this time I want the right ones!
Show us when you get her set up!
Hubby will try to do them and I can hold them but not much else. If he can't, we will call our son to help. Fred said he will try and get them together tomorrow. It takes a while with the adjustable lights and all. Easier with two people for sure.
That's a lot of bulbs Gail!
We, well, mostly HE, did it. They are up beside my other shelves. I will get pictures soon.
Congratulations on your new shelving unit Sally! Can't wait to see photo's of all your lovely plants when you get them all arranged!
Glad you are healing well and feeling better!
