She looks like one, I agree! She is a pekingese, rescued from a puppy mill in Vidor, Texas, and we suspect she is not 100% peke. All she is now, of course, is Queen Brigid.

What a sweet face! She needs spoiling I can tell! LOL

I'm doing my best! I'll get her spoiled one of these days.

Talk about SPOILED!! Here is Sable, who I am babysitting for a few weeks for my Mom. She loves to be in the garden with me but really gets underfoot.

WHat are all those shiny green things on the roses? Oh yeah, healthy leaves, I've seen them somewhere before. NIMBY.

I do have those problems too. Black spot, mildew..I just don't post those bushes or just macro pictures of the bloom. No rust so far...that is always colorful.. Yuck!

My "sweet angel" (NOT) has been eating cow pots and their contents...if that's not bad enough she's decided she enjoys fish emulsion and/or anything that's been watered with it - GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Mine ate chicken manure chunks until they were all worked into the soil, but they still rut around there to see if there's anything "good". Yuck.

"Oh oh, busted." Caught on the wrong side of the fence. "Mom, quit laughing at me and taking my picture and please get me out of here!" I have this area double fenced in but Chloe still manages to get in then can't get out. She must have already eaten everything that I had planted in there because the only thing coming up is weeds. Lots of beautiful dogs here.

LOL... I'd say, take down the fence and just call that little bed "Chloe's garden"... maybe put down some nice cool mulch... :-)

critterologist, I took your advice.... the fence is gone. Chloe's Garden! Might as well, nothing growing in there any longer. I was afraid she would hurt herself trying to get in and out too. She loves it! I found her rolling in the weeds several times yesterday.

brigidlily, yes Chloe is a CKCS. Thanks. She is a sweetie, steels my heart everyday with her big brown eyes.

I think God made puppies (and kitties and babies) cute so we could endure the trying times... poop on the floor... broken dishes... shredded paperwork... I know there were times I was tempted -- no matter what kind of baby it was!

They are so pretty and that pug is A sweetie. What a lovely face!

fogot to add the picture,,,,, ok here are the what we call the old ladies.... Acacia in the middle made it to 13 this month with her blue daughter Sarah on Right and her last daughter Blessing sable and white on her left.

let me see what I come up with on the youngsters.....lol

here are the boys we call them the S & S brothers... Saul and Saint

Saul is on the left and Saint on the right. They are both blues and very dirty in this picture. Guess I really need to clean up my red eyes on my crew....

ok one more and that is Gracie, the youngest at 4, the boys are 5

They are - I just don't see many collies any more, it seems - and those are gorgeous.

Don't want to be a party killer, but my dog has been having seizures and I'm starting to think that it's from grazing in the garden. RIght now I believe the culprit to be either digitalis or hydrangea (aspera).

Here's a partial list of plants toxic to dogs and the symptoms for them. I've found in my research that there are many more not shown here - like aconitum, a great fall favorite. If your dogs are grazers, like mine, then you might want to keep these things away from them (or keep them away from these things).
