I have been very remiss in dividing my massive yucca until it did indeed get to look quite yucky.
Anyway I finally attacked it as much as I could and have ended up with 15-20 pups. It is a very hardy plant. I've had it since 1992. I live in Worcester, MA. If anyone is interested in any let me know. I'd prefer to meet locally. I don't need anything in return tradewise..
Yucca
If those leaves are soft enough to chop into small pieces and grind in a food processor you have the basis of a very good yucca tea. Simply soak in water and drench or foliar feed your plants with it.
If you understand and can make aerobic compost tea ground yucca or otherwise fermented yucca added to your tea would greatly improve your tea. Go one step further and introduce a bit of alfalfa, fish oil (very little) and worm casts. This becomes and organic aerobic stew of unequaled value.
