Any Advice on Plants that Bloom in early spring?

With all of my diligence of planting Butterfly friendly plants, I overlooked what would and would not Bloom in the early spring:( The only things blooming in the garden are plants that I went out and purchased because I was going nuts as to no color yet,,,,everyone else had stuff blooming. I need to start planning for next spring and add plants now....

Any suggestions so we can enjoy some spring color and attract early butterflies

I wouldn't venture to guess what info you need so far north of me. But wanted to bump the thread up to see if someone else could help.....
