This strawbale gardening seems like a great way to grow vegetables. Would flowers work with this type of gardening? Anyone do flowers like this?

Sunshines2day: flowers work well, too. A lot of folks add flowers in and around their veggies.

Yup, I have petunias, marigolds and lobelia in the bales with the squash and cukes, and planted 3 bales of zinnias. (The stuff in the hay bales is already at least twice as big and robust as the same thing planted in the straw bales).
