A man was driving down the road and ran out of gas. Just at that moment, a bee flew in his window.
The bee said, "What seems to be the problem?"
"I'm out of gas," the man replied.
The bee told the man to wait right there and flew away.
Minutes later, the man watched as an entire swarm of bees flew to his car and into his gas tank. After a few minutes, the bees flew out.
"Try it now," said one bee.
The man turned the ignition key and the car started right up.
"Wow!" the man exclaimed, "What did you put in my gas tank?"
The bee answered,
BP.
Gas Jokes - Laugh Rather than Cry
LOL - you have no idea how much I needed that this morning!!!
If only it were true!^_^ Doe
Thumtimeth I just can't help the thilliness. Heard another good one today:
Question: How do you get a duck to sing?
Answer: Put him in the microwave until he's Bill Withers.
Even funnier is that I was in a training class with a bunch of people who didn't ever get it when the instructor told the joke. Meanwhile, I'm giggling in the front row . . .
^_^!!
Ok, I will admit I had to look and see who Bill Withers is. Love the bee joke though!
Kathy ~ You ROCK! Love the "Bill Withers." And BP ~ HAH! Wish it worked!
I definitely need some of that BP in my tank! Funny!!!
Gas has gone up to $4.65 per gallon here on Vashon. The only thing funny about it is when the radio news announcers mention in shocked voices how high the nation average has become, I think to myself how low it sounds and remember fondly when our gas cost that much a few weeks before.
Looking at the price of gas these days, I am even more glad that I just go to my local Costco for gas. I used to be a solid Texico/Chevron die hard, but the price increases killed my brand name interests.
So all I do is go to http://seattlegasprices.com/index.aspx and figure out where its cheap near me.
MapQuest has a feature for finding cheap gas now too. Here's the link:
http://gasprices.mapquest.com/
I looked for Safeway and Costco in my area and they aren't on it, so you aren't seeing everything that is available.
Safeway's price today was $4.22 and it took $43 to fill up the Prius.
The only prices present on the site is when someone reports them. Corvallis has several gas stations listed, so it is not all for naught.

I saw that too, it is much better than the mapquest one.
I so admire (and maybe envy a wee bit!!) anyone who was smart enough to buy a Prius!!
Right now with our trips to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle every week, not to mention constant trips to Freeland to the grocery store and pharmacy, I can't even let myself worry about it. But if the time ever comes that I can afford a new car, just guess what it will be!!!! (My best friend and my brother both have them and swear by them . . . my brother says it is also a fun car to drive - and he loves seeing just how high he can get his MPG!!!).
Katie - quick tell another joke!!!!
May I pass the BP one on to DH? He'll be tickled pink. I'll tell him you told it.
We get some of the niftiest looking electric cars over here - so far the distance range is still a problem, but they are getting better and better (some up to 125km on full charge) - in a couple years, they should have really cracked it - here's a UK site with some of the best, and cutest http://www.greencarsite.co.uk/comingsoon/think-electric-car.htm

Please pass on the BP joke - it's a perfect union of your interests.
He just creased up with laughter!
I'm so glad he liked it. The original email had a great picture of a little boy bee using the loo. Cracks me up to think about it.
