We adopted a mixed-breed stray about 5 weeks ago. His name is Woody and is a wonderful addition to our family and good companion for our lab, Holli. (she was mourning the loss of our other 2 dogs to cancer within the last year)
He's smart, loving, and very well behaved except ..... he is digging out from under the chain link fence. He doesn't leave our property - usually takes a dip in the pond then hangs around the house. He has done it 3x while we were away and 1x while we were home. It's a huge fenced area so we can't afford to re-fence with something that goes below the ground surface. He can dig at any point along the fence line - the digging is not confined to one area. Don't want to electrify the fence for a number of reasons. Shock collar no good since we are not always there to catch him in the act. Any other ideas?
