At some point was told this particular specimen is an example of 'Norquinco Valley', which explains the exceptionally heavy flowering.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. It is supposedly hardier and sometimes deciduous.

Pretty much all here except the occasional 'Inca Flame' drop most of of their skinny leaves each November, which would appear to make them examples of the Lanceolatum cultivar group (var. lanceolatum).

So, if we are to take it a step further, does RHS consider 'Norquinco Valley' a Lanceolatum Group or 'Norquinco Valley'? The distinguishing features of this group would be the deciduous habit and narrow leaves? Should I be considering setting up a seperate PlantFiles entry and do you have anything that supports the sub-group designation for the plants in Seattle?
